Happy Taco in Half Moon Bay

Good tacos, not bad prices. Not the most friendly staff though.

Okay first off, the water tastes like sewage. Stay away from the water. Second... Fish tacos are easily the most disgusting fish tacos I've ever had in my life. the ratio to sour cream and extra wet guacamole, topped with chopped-up fish? What is happening here? This is a disaster, stay far far away. Sad taco.

Authentic Mexican food...this is a local restaurant...like local Mexican people make nice tacos quesadillas!!!

The food is so so good. I am told that this place offers the most authentic best burritos.

This is where the locals go for Tacos, Shrimp Cocktail, Pasole, Menudo, etc. Salsa bar is good. Al pastor is great.

Been going to Happy Taco since I was a little kid and I cant believe I have never given them a review. Best taco's I have ever had pretty much anywhere. The steak is so tasty and its got a nice outer crunchy texture to it but still juicy and not over cooked. The hot sauce is sometimes very hot which I love and sometimes not too hot which I also love. My favorite is the Super wet beef burrito(red sauce) and I also get the taco plate quite often. I don't think in the 20 years maybe more I've been going there I have ever had a bad meal. Thanks guys you are awesome!!!

Fantastic food and there's like a little salsa bar with spicy pickled stuff and several salsas. The cashier wasn't friendly this time we were there is the only reason I give it a 4 stars. But will most likely go back for the food.

It servers good food. Simple but flavorful. Order steak burrito, fish taco, steak nachos and quesadillas. Staff is friendly.

Total local family, meet mom at the cash register for your order. Good food at a reasonable price.

The food is good (albeit messy - many toppings for the tacos are poured over the tops after they're laying on the plate, so you have to shove it inside and deal with a messy outside). Be aware that the older woman at the register doesn't speak very much English, so orders are frequently wrong. The server simply shrugged it off because it's so normal and walked away. Luckily my husband and I like just about all Mexican food.

I must admit that I've never had good Mexican food north of San Diego. This place is a winner. Owners from Jalisco really nailed it with this taqueria.

Food is really bland I ordered enchilada had to keep adding salt and even that didn’t help 😅 my friend ordered a wet burrito and it was dry 🙌🏽 the place needs a little cleaning . I’ve had better

Best Mexican food on the coast. Family-owned and operated. My favorite meat options are the al pastor and the pollo asado, though the carne asada is good too. Burritos, tacos, tortas, and platas are all solid. Horchata is tasty and there is a large selection of bottled beers and other drinks.Excellent salsa bar. The pico de gallo + the spicier red salsa is the key. Pickled veggies are legit. Multiple hot sauces on the table. La Virgen de Guadalupe on the wall. Menudo on the weekend. Tucked away in a strip mall. Usually more Mexicans than non-Mexicans eating there, but with a diverse and loyal local following. Every important part of an excellent, authentic taqueria is covered. As a bonus, Happy Taco is directly next door to Mercado Mi Familia, an excellent Mexican grocery.

This is a wonderful restaurant. All their food is fresh and delicious, and they have a variety of desserts and drink options. The food comes fast, and all the waitresses are very nice, wonderful place to eat!

Pretty good food! Had to fight off a few flies off my burrito tho. I seen one fly back stroking in some dudes horchata. The pickled carrots are tasty too!

Terrible. Absolutely no flavor. Was gawked at when i asked if they had ground beef. I hate writing bad reviews but this place, the food just has no flavor and tiny chopped up overcooked pieces of meat. Food wasnt gross just so plain and rushed.

Ordered a shrimp quesadilla. Was very clear that as a pescetarian, that I don't eat meat. Received a disgusting beef quesadilla. Called and asked for my credit card to be refunded. Owner hung up the phone.

Fun Mexican place. Got some tasty takeaway food before watching the sunset at the beach. Service was friendly and we got our food in under 10 min even though the was a line.
